Jennifer Calkins

Personal Aesthetic statement:
I set out to analyze a series of works by poets using colors to code for consistent elements-themes, constructs, appropriations, etc. One of these pieces, "The Truth About God" is a poem sequence found in Anne Carson's Glass, Irony and God. By clustering these common elements onto a large piece of paper I developed an alternative way for viewing the work.
